As we come to the end of our first year in Belem, Brazil we are amazed at what God has done, and the doors that He has opened in such a short time. Kyle recently traveled to a Pastors conference in the south of Brazil where the pastors and leaders that oversee the Calvary Chapels in Brazil acknowledged the start of Calvary Chapel Amazon Valley, the only Calvary in Northern Brazil. While the church has been operating as an English language ministry for many years, it is now on its way to becoming an active church body. Kyle has been blessed to pastor this church and will become an officially ordained Calvary Chapel Pastor this month. Calvary Chapel Amazon Valley (CCAV) will have its official church service June 26th 2016!
School at The Amazon Valley Academy(AVA) has officially ended for the summer! The year has flown by, and had many ups and downs. We’ve seen students desire and seek after Jesus, while others have decided that the world is more desirable for them now. We have a deep love for each and every one of these students and continually pray that they know how much they are loved by our Heavenly Father. The secondary students, Aidan included, recently traveled to Santarem, Para, Brazil for a student missions trip. While there, the kids were able to minister to similar aged children, as well as visit a benevolence home.

Read About Our Missions Update
After 8 years in the mission field of Belem, Para, Brazil the Lord has called us to move on to our next adventure in Christ. It is a funny thing being a missionary, you really learn that your home is not here in this world, but in heaven. At times it has been the hardest thing to give up ‘home’. We have had to do it when we left everything the first time when we left CO for our first mission adventure on the sailboat, then onto northern Brazil, and here we are again packing up for the next deployment in missions.
